Dominique Douieb

At 32, Dominique Douieb decided to become a professional photographer. Before that, he acquired solid technical skills in cinema and photography: Editor in a Production company, realization assistant for a short film. He has done many jobs that have helped him to stimulate his sight. The artist first focused on photography for the fashion industry. He then broadened his experiences in advertisement by working with famous agencies such as Ogilvy, TBWA and Publicis. Since 2001, he has given a new orientation to his work: the graphic exploitation of the body. He gets his inspiration from Edward Muybridge –who is a pioneer in the study of living species’ movements. In 2004, Dominique Douieb created a process of “spherical” photography: Digital enables him to make 96 different images out of one single pose. His pictures of New York are exposed permanently at Triode.
